Helou taiji origin - pictorial tour
Tour A: The pursuit of Taiji heritage (5 nights)
You fly from Hong Kong to Zhengzhou (Henan's provincial capital), and tour in the surrounding region. You visit Chen Jia Gao - the centre of Chen style taiji, and meet taiji masters. You also explore Helou area which is an origin of Chinese heritage, visit Shaloin Temple, and other related sites.
Day 1
- Fly from Hong Kong to Zhengzhou (鄭州) via China Southern Airlines (about 12:40-14:50); via coach to Wenxian (溫縣)
- At Wenxian, visit county taiji institute, meet Master Wang Xian & his followers.
Day 2 – Day 4
- Tour to Chen Jia Gou (陳家溝) – visit Chen’s ancestral temple, Chen Jia Gou Wushu School, Chen Jiao Gou Wushu institute, Historian Sima’s dwelling place, Wu Temple.
- Tour to explore Helou (Middle Yellow River region) cultural heritage (河洛文化); visit Kang the Million’s Mansion.
- Visit Shaolin Temple and watch wushu demonstration of the monks.
- Visit Longmen (Dragon Gate) Cavern at Louyang (an ancient capital).
Day 5 (Zhengzhou, provincial capital of Henan)
- Coach to Zhengzhou
- Visit Chen Zhenglei’s taiji institute
- Visit another prominent wushu figure – Mr Zhou (*optional)
Day 6
- Fly from Zhengzhou to Hong Kong via China Southern Airlines (about 8:50-11:40am).
